How to View Package Details
The Packages feature in SeeBiz Inventory enables you to create and manage packages made from sales order numbers.
Packages can be created after the sales order has been confirmed.
Here’s how you can manage your packages in SeeBiz Inventory.
When you click on “Packages” in the Feature Navigation Sidebar, you’ll be able to view all of your packages and their different properties such as:
- Package Date
- Package Number
- Sales Order Number
- Customer Name
- Package Status
Pro Tip: You can quicksort packages by clicking on each of the above properties. Each click either sorts the packages in ascending or descending order indicated by “↑” and “↓” Arrows.
Here you’ll be able to perform the following actions on the packages:
- View
- Export
- Modify
- Filter
- Sort
- Navigate
View a Package
You can click on a package to view all of its details.
Main Information
This section of package details show the following:
- Customer name (You can click on it to view their details)
- Package number
- Status
- Package creation date
- Sales order number
- Total items
Shipping Address
This section of package details show the following:
- Customer name on the Shipping Address
- Shipping address
- Contact information
Insight: In some cases, a customer’s shipping and billing address will be the same.
Item Details
This section of the package details shows the following:
- Item name
- Item Stock Keeping Unit (SKU)
- Item warehouse
- Item quantity
- Total items
History
Click on the “History” tab to view the record of changes made to the package in your system.
This section tracks the package from creation to shipping.
Export Packages
If you wish to make a backup of the list of packages and their details, click on the “Hamburger” button at the top and select the “Export Packages” option from the dropdown menu.
A popup window will appear. From there, you will have to select a filter option. You can either export all of your packages or only a few within a specific timeframe.
Click on the “Export” button to download the package list as a CSV file.
Modify Packages
Here you can modify details about a package and even perform different actions on it.
Click on the vertical ellipsis icon against a specific package to open a dropdown menu. From there, you can perform the following list of actions:
- Edit: By clicking on the “Edit” option, you can add/change different details about a package.
Insight: Details about a package cannot be changed if it is shipped or delivered.
- Delete: You can click on the “Delete” option to remove the package from the system.
Insight: A package cannot be deleted if it’s shipped or delivered.
- View in PDF: This will help you view the package details in a PDF form.
Bulk Operations
To apply actions to multiple packages at the same time, use bulk operations. Here’s how.
Select the packages that you want to perform bulk operation on. Next, click on “Options” at the top of the page and select one of the following two choices:
- Export Selected: Export all the selected packages.
- Delete Icon: Delete the selected packages. However, you cannot delete the packages that have been shipped or delivered.
Filter Packages
Can’t find the package you’re looking for? Use a filter to narrow down your options.
Click on the box besides the “Packages” heading to filter your packages according to different criteria. You can view either all, not shipped, shipped, or delivered packages.
Sort Packages
As we all know, it is easier and faster to locate items in a sorted list than unsorted. In SeeBiz Inventory, you can sort the packages according to the following parameters:
- Package Number: Sort according to the package numbers
- Sales Order Number: Sort according to the sales order numbers
- Customer Name: Sort packages according alphabetically based on customer name
- Status: Sort packages according to their status
- Date: Sort packages according to creation date
- Created Time: Sort according to the package creation time
Package Navigation
As you conduct more business, the list of packages will naturally continue to grow. To make viewing easy, SeeBiz Inventory lets you limit the amount of packages displayed on a page.
By clicking on the box besides “+New”, you can select how many packages per page should be displayed.
You can also click on the “>” or “<” icons to go to the next or previous page.
