Backorders & Notifications in SeeBiz Inventory
Backorders are orders that are out of stock at the time of order. If a customer orders some items and the user has not fulfilled those orders due to out of stock conditions, the order falls into the backorder category. The system will continue to notify the user to purchase the item to fulfill the order prior to the delivery date. The basic purpose of this feature is to avoid delivery failure due to out of the stock scenario. Customers will be notified when backorder items are expected to be shipped.
Users can cancel an order if they are unable to fulfill the pending order. They can communicate directly with customers to suggest alternative items. When a user receives an item that has been delayed, it will be placed on a high priority list for delivery to the customer as soon as possible.
